Blame the glitches in rolling out COVID-19 vaccines on any number of factors, but is there a quick solution to the obstacles encountered on the distribution end?
Given the unprecedented scale and rapid development of the vaccines, it’s hardly surprising that distribution has been anything but smooth. Obstacles are cropping up all along the supply chain, not least of which is a chronic shortage of drivers (which was the case nationally long before the pandemic hit). On this episode, we speak with Robert Olszak, supply chain director of business-transformation adviser RGP, about the major constraints that are hampering vaccine distribution to hundreds of millions of individuals. Some are solvable over the long term, but the question of the moment is: Is there a way to tackle these problems right now, or do we have to just suffer through them in the weeks and months to come? Hosted by Bob Bowman, Editor-in-Chief of SupplyChainBrain.
