The conversation we’re having today about supply chain finance is a lot different than that of just a few years ago.
You could argue that some form of supply chain finance has been with us since the dawn of global trade. Over the last decade, though, it has come to the fore as a means of shoring up the often-shaky relationship between buyers and suppliers. And it has become more formally defined, offering such services as receivables financing and dynamic discounting. But the elements that go into the supply finance equation have changed radically within the last few years, driven by economic uncertainty, pandemic and geopolitical tensions. And new considerations, such as sustainability and resilience, have become an essential part of the conversation. On this episode, we welcome back PJ Bain, chief executive officer of Prime Revenue, to discuss the changing world of supply chain finance, and how it’s stepping up to meet current challenges for buyers and suppliers alike. We also discuss the shifting balance of power between those entities. Hosted by Bob Bowman, Editor-in-Chief of SupplyChainBrain.
