Environmental, social and governance (ESG) compliance is no longer just a selling point for responsible manufacturers and their supply chains. It’s a mandate.
ESG has risen to the top of the supply chain agenda. Many previous actions by lawmakers and regulators to promote compliance were in the form of loose reporting requirements, without much in the way of penalties for failing to meet them. Now, regulations cropping up around the globe are mandating that global businesses adhere to the principles of environmental responsibility, human rights and ethical corporate behavior. Chris McClure, partner in the advisory services group of Crowe LLP, brings us up to date on the latest actions by governments to compel ESG compliance. And he suggests ways in which companies can begin to address this massive subject as it relates to highly complex global supply chains. Hosted by Bob Bowman, Editor-in-Chief of SupplyChainBrain.
